Barbara Straub Interior Designer

Want to know the secret to an enjoyable – and, yes, even relaxing – interior design project? Trust and communication. With years of experience creating beautiful spaces, I know that every project has many moving parts and can be overwhelming to even the most organized amongst us. That’s where we come in…

Because, look: I also get that this is a large financial investment, which I don’t take lightly. My team and I pride ourselves on our proactive communication and are constantly in contact through the process to ensure that you are always aware of the next steps. And the million-and-one details that no one wants to deal with? We’re sort of obsessed with tracking those and taking them off your plate.

We truly value our relationships with our clients and we want you to feel comfortable asking any questions along the way. This is a relationship that lasts for months – sometimes even years – and we want you to feel valued like a close friend.

My one true love has always been interior design. As a Richmond, Virginia, transplant, I’ve lived in Northeast Pennsylvania for more than 25 years. I worked for many years as a pharmaceutical sales representative, which really ingrained how valuable relationships and strong communications are to a successful business.

When I pivoted my career to interior design, I realized a great passion of mine is the opportunity to provide a full-service experience. I love the chance to transform a dated and tired space into a fresh, comfortable, and beautiful oasis. I find it equally rewarding working with clients who need inspiration, as well as collaborating with those who already have a vision. Bottom line: Witnessing the sheer elation on a client's face when they see their newly imagined home is the ultimate high for me.

PROJECT MANAGER

Kimberly Kindler Project manager for Barbara Straub Interiors

Kimberley is a creative force of nature. She’s worked in marketing, advertising, event planning, and publishing, and her passion for design is always on full display.

Even though she's often behind the scenes as a Project Manager, she loves being involved in every phase of a project, from initial inquiry to completion. Her attention to detail keep projects on track, and she always makes sure clients are fully informed of their progress.

A lake girl at heart, Kim's favorite spot to be is with her three boys at their family lake house.

Kim enjoys fresh air and sunshine and can function best after getting her beds edged and having tackled other outdoor gardening projects. Her love of the outdoors and nature perhaps explains why she's so down to earth.

Although a proclaimed sweet tooth, she doesn't require caffeine. Kim enthusiastically gets things done thanks to her natural spark and energy.

“Barbara Straub Interiors recreated our beach house living space and it was a great investment. Their beautiful and functional design clearly enhances our lifestyle and provides increased joy to our family gatherings. The attention to detail, care and concern Barb and her team placed in the design and implementation was outstanding. From start to finish, Barb and Kim made the entire project and experience very easy.”
